FAST stands for Free Ad-supported Streaming Television: linear channels running to a schedule the way broadcast television does, funded by advertising. Why “free IPTV lists” are something else entirely

The free playlists circulating on forums, Telegram channels and aggregation sites contain, in very nearly every case, streams redistributed without authorisation. The issue is not only a legal one.

They do not work for long. A redistributed stream is cut off as soon as the rights holder notices. That is why those lists are republished constantly: they are short-lived by construction.

2. Add digital terrestrial, which remains free and carries the main national channels without using any bandwidth.
3. Isolate the one thing you are missing. In most cases it is a single item — football, or one particular series. At that point the question becomes what that content costs, not what “all of television” costs.
4. Consider month-by-month subscriptions with no lock-in, which let you switch a service on only in the months you need it.
